The development of this plan included a thorough consultation process led by Harbour Sport to all members through the surveying of all members and staff followed by a workshop fleshing out survey results to clearly understand the North Harbour Hockey communities desired direction over the next five years.
Armed with the consultation results the NHHA Board have developed the draft NHHA Strategic Plan 2017-22 and are now happy to share it for final consultation. Final consultation ended on the 10th of March 2016. The NHHA Board then asked all members to take the time to look over the draft Strategic Plan 2017-22 and provide any additional feedback through Harbour Sport before the plan was adopted and implemented in 2017.

In 2018 work began to update our constitution which was then finalised and adopted at the AGM. The new constitution, adopted in 2020 saw the creation of new divisional committees and the expansion of the existing committees. This was done to help NHHA continue to deliver our game at a high standard while partnering with our stakeholders.Â
Divisional Committees are overseen by members of our community who are elected through the AGM each year and appointed to represent the various stakeholders of NHHA. reporting to the CEO of NHHA these committees help us ensure our members needs stay at the forefront of our association.Â

The NHHA Coaches Division administer all aspects of hockey coaching and coach development in North Harbour. This group is tasked with creating the NHHA Coaching Philosophy, and designing pathways, frameworks and systems that align to the NHHA coaching philosophy. The group is passionate about development of policies, processes and resources that support all coaches across all competitions and programmes within our community.
