Lights, Camera, Hockey Action!

Live Streaming of weekend games on Cello1 is back.

Thanks to our technology and live streaming partner, Cello Sport, the NHHA will resume live streaming of select games on our main turf – Cello 1 – from this Saturday 11 June.

With the install of our world class live streaming camera embedded with super smart AI technology, the NHHA was proud to lead our sector, investing in this capability almost 2-years ago. We have now been joined by many other Hockey Associations (and other sports) around the country, and after a short hiatus, we are pleased and excited to re-launch this service from Saturday 11 June.

The NHHA’s Cello Sport technology enables your games to be viewed live on YouTube, by anyone with a link.  Starting with NSU Blue v North Harbour Indians P3 from 9.30am tomorrow, all Cello 1 weekend games will be viewable using the link/s provided. Sunday will see North Harbour B U18 reps play Waikato B from 9.30am as these teams prepare for their national tournament.

Please visit the Youtube Channel for links to all games. The Youtube Channel can also be found on our homepage.

Not only will this technology enable your grandparents in Takapuna, Te Awamutu, Christchurch, or London, to watch your games, you can keep up on how your mates and competitors are performing week in, week out. This exciting technology opens up our game to audiences we couldn’t otherwise reach, helps to showcase local talent, and will help keep community hockey alive. We are also excited about the commercial opportunities live streaming brings, to add value to our existing corporate partners, and attract new partners align with our game.

Like any live event you may attend at a public venue, such as a concert or game that is likely to be broadcast, please note that the NHHA reserves the right to use footage for spectator viewing, to build resources for hockey development and promotion, and to create commercial or publicity material, to enable the long-term sustainability of hockey for all. By entering the Cello 1 turf at the National Hockey Centre, you consent to our usage of such footage.

The NHHA Cello Sport live stream camera is focused on the turf facing East, not on the stands, but please be advised that if you are a spectator or participant at a game Cello 1 at the National Hockey Centre, you may be recorded.

In the future, the NHHA’s Cello Sport technology will also enable Clubs/Teams to record games and/or trainings to assist with coaching and training objectives. Watch this space for further news on this capability.
