After what was a hugely successful season with a little bit of an unfortunate end, we are now looking to wrap up there year.
With sadness we announce that the 2021 Senior Awards have now been cancelled. We will be celebrating our category finalists and winners via Facebook over the next few weeks and will be looking to create an in person event in 2022 so we can celebrate in person.
Our AGM is now online and we would love to have our officials join us online for this event.
3.30pm on Sunday 07 November (online)
For those who have not attended an AGM previously, as a registered NHHA official this year, you are entitled to the vote on the 2022 Executive Committee members.
At the AGM we will be appointing the new members and nominations to the UODEC. The NHHA Umpires and Officials Division administers all aspects of umpiring and match officiating for hockey in North Harbour and shall undertake other responsibilities as directed by the CEO. Amongst others, these activities include appointments of and development in programmes, representatives, club, school, youth, masters, and social competitions delivered by NHHA. This group helps design NHHA Officials’ pathways, frameworks, and development plans. This group can often be seen around the turf every day, helping to positively promote officiating to our Harbour Whanau.
The divisional committee comprises a range of skills that undertake tasks like umpire assignments, umpire development plans, and all other matters to do with umpiring at NHHA. Meeting monthly (often online) being a member of this committee is a role that influences the experiences of all our members and one that is very rewarding while providing a growth opportunity for those looking for their “next hockey contribution”. We welcome those with diverse skills, qualities, and experiences and look forward to seeing a vast array of nominations.
- Voting at the AGM is not compulsory; however, we encourage all 2021 officials to have a say and to contribute to your representation as some of our most valued members!
- Members nominated will be present at the AGM should you have any questions or suggestions. We ask that you speak to the person concerned before nominating them, and we welcome self-nomination if you want to make a bigger contribution.
