ABOUT

It has been a tough couple of months for our North Harbour Whanau and the people of Auckland.

Many of us have not had Hockey Competition since our Winter club season ended in early August. While it has been nice to reconnect with our friends in our training programmes, there is nothing quite like competition and matches (with banter included – obviously)

Our Summer competition day is a welcome back to hockey for our community. The Hockey Fun in the Sun Competition is on Sunday 12th December at the National Hockey Centre.

The Competition is in 7 a side format for turf and numbers purposes and marks part of our Summer Hockey 7’s and 9’s season for the 2021/2022 competition on top of their midweek games. We also want to open up the festival day opportunity to the rest of our Hockey community to enter teams for the festival alone. Get your mates together, park up on the Village Green in the beautiful summer heat and get back into competitive hockey. So far, we have 50 of our Summer Hockey teams signed up to play and we have space for about 25 additional teams SO GET IN QUICK

Each team will get a minimum of 4+ games across the day. The Village Green will be set up for the ultimate social space on what will hopefully be a beautiful Summer Sunday.

Hockey Fun in the Sun Competition – Sunday 12th December 2021
