At Harbour Hockey, we love working with coaches of all levels. Every year when we run our introduction to 6 a-side and 11 a-side courses we enjoy meeting new members of our Harbour Whanau who are volunteering to support the development of our entry-level players.

We know that volunteering as a coach is not an easy job, but remember it is okay not to have all the answers. A quality coach is one that is positive, enthusiastic, supportive, trusting, respectful and really cares about the participants.

We provide a range of development opportunities that range from creating team culture, how to teach the basic skills all the way through to how to develop your tactical knowledge.

We are continuously developing new ways to upskill and support our coaches as they progress in their coaching journey. Watch this space for more information!
