What an incredible week it was to host the NZ Masters Tournament. North Harbour Hockey was proud to welcome 112 Masters teams, making it the largest hockey event in New Zealand this year. We hope you enjoyed the experience and the strong support shown by our Harbour whānau throughout the tournament.

We're looking for two friendly and organized people to take on the roles of Winter Competition Coordinator & HBC Coordinator for the winter season. These roles are responsible for the onsite coordination of winter competitions at North Harbour Hockey & Millwater Turf. Happy New Year! We hope you’ve enjoyed a wonderful summer and made the most of the break with whānau and friends. The team is now back from holiday and ready for another action‑packed year ahead.

We have had so many memories this year. Hosting the National U 18 Women’s tournament in July saw a National tournament return to the National Hockey Centre. Our Competitions again had a busy season. Full intercity competitions at P1 and P2 grades and a local competition P3 and below culminated in a busy finals day that ran from 8 am to midnight. The growing capability of our clubs each year is something that is really impressive, considering the amount of volunteer hours that

2025 has been another incredible year for Harbour Hockey, marked by growth, community strength, and strategic progress. We have seen strong on-field performances and continued investment in our facilities, people, and programmes all driven by our long-term vision. Across every level of our organisation, from juniors to high-performance athletes, the Harbour whānau has shown resilience, pride, and commitment.

It’s been fantastic to see everyone back on the turfs with summer hockey underway. There’s always an electric atmosphere on these warm evenings, with teams bringing their A-game—and their A-style. From Tradies gear to vibrant Hawaiian shirts, the creativity and colour on display never disappoints.

We have continued to be just as busy after Finals Day. During Secondary School Week, we had the pleasure of hosting both the Mayhill Cup and Olympic Stick tournaments and it was fantastic to see so many talented teams in action.

Andy was a foundation North Shore / North Harbour player from junior grades and played 6 years in the U21s, where he represented NZ. He played over 200 games for the North Harbour Senior Men’s team, where he played in every North Harbour team that won promotion from the 4th division into the top tier of Men’s hockey in New Zealand at the time, Challenge Shield. He continued to represent Harbour on the field in Master’s hockey playing in various age group teams over the years
